Healthy Easter Snacks Your Kids Will Love (Instead of All That Candy!)

With Easter coming up around the corner we know that once again it is a holiday that has become all about the candy. At least that’s what it’s all about for kids.

Because of my daughter’s severe food allergies I really enjoy when we get to attend an Easter Egg hunt with little toys or trinkets in the eggs instead of all that sugary candy. But I know I’m not the only parent that appreciates that. Heaven knows our kids get enough candy between Easter parties at school and church, Easter egg hunts, and of course the Easter basket from the Easter bunny the morning of. Sometimes I feel like with all the holiday parties we have, our kids are often burned out on candy before the actual holiday. Ok, let’s be honest, that is probably not true haha Kids would probably tell you they could never get burned out on candy. Ever. But their bodies are saying otherwise.

Spring is such a wonderful time of year when beautiful flowers and plants are beginning to blossom and you start seeing more butterflies and ladybugs. Produce will start to become in season at the store and fruits will be juicy and more flavorful. This is an exciting time for both children and grown-ups alike. No matter how old I get I am still in awe over the changing of seasons and how nature changes around us with each new season. Spring is a particularly fun one though with a new energy and lots of new life.

There are so many cute and fun ways to dress up your child or grandchild’s meals and snacks to get them excited about spring time and Easter in a non-candy way!

Here is a perfect idea to serve with breakfast on Easter. It is a great way to get some beautiful fresh fruit.

This would be the cutest lunch that your little one would be excited to eat.

You can make this with a PB&J sandwich, an orange slice for the sun, with little carrot strips for the sunbeams. You could cut out little flowers out of a couple different kinds of cheese. So cute and springy! Even just looking at this cute little meal as an adult lifts my spirit and makes me excited to try it.

Look at these beautiful flowers?

What a fun way to remind us of fresh spring blossoms with a cute arrangement made with strawberries, kiwis, and string cheese.

Look how cute these little veggie tulips are made with carrots and cucumbers!
