I have spent the last 2 hours reading your newsletter and wonderful recipes. I have already printed a whole bunch I want to try. I love them because they are using ingredients one has on hand. I love that and just wanted you to know how much we appreciate all your hard work in putting together this newsletter. Thank you very much.

Chunky Lentil Stew

Serves: 6

Download this recipe.

3 cups water
1 (16-ounce) can whole tomatoes, undrained, cut up
1 cup uncooked lentils
1 cup shredded cabbage
1/2 cup chopped carrots
1/2 cup chopped celery
1/2 cup chopped onions
1/2 cup mashed instant potato flakes
6 ounces (1 cup) chopped smoked kielbasa sausages
2 teaspoons chicken bouillon or 2 chicken-flavor bouillon cubes
1 teaspoon dried marjoram leaves
1 bay leaf

1.In large saucepan, combine all ingredients. Bring to a boil.

2.Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 35 to 40 minutes or until lentils are tender. Remove bay leaf.
