Give-Aways

I have spent the last 2 hours reading your newsletter and wonderful recipes. I have already printed a whole bunch I want to try. I love them because they are using ingredients one has on hand. I love that and just wanted you to know how much we appreciate all your hard work in putting together this newsletter. Thank you very much.

  Download this recipe.

1 (21-ounce) can Cherry pie filling
1 (8-ounce) can crushed pineapple, undrained
1 package Betty Crocker SuperMoist regular yellow cake mix or butter recipe yellow cake mix
1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
Vanilla ice cream, if desired

1 Heat oven to 350°. Spread pie filling and pineapple in ungreased rectangular pan, 13 x 9 x 2 inches.

2 Stir cake mix and butter in large bowl, using spoon, until crumbly. Sprinkle mixture evenly over fruit.

3 Bake 45 to 50 minutes or until deep golden brown. Cool 30 minutes. Serve warm or cool with ice cream. Store covered in refrigerator. High Altitude (3500 to 6500 feet): Heat oven to 375°.

Betty's Tip: Looking for some simple substitutions? If you have it on hand, SuperMoist white cake mix can also be used instead of the yellow cake mix. No pineapple lovers in your family? Use 2 cans of cherry pie filling instead.
