Sensational Pie Crusts

Do your guests eat the filling but leave the pie crust on the plate? Create sensational crusts by using one or more of the following tips:

Add 1 teaspoon of cinnamon and 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg to either pastry or crumb crusts for pumpkin, apple, or peach pies.
Flavor pastry for lemon pie with grated lemon or orange peel.
Mix some powdered sugar into pastry dough, along with the flour, for a sweet treat.
Prevent soggy crusts on pumpkin or fruit pies by brushing crust with egg white before filling.
