Grandma Dortch's Peanut Brittle

1 1/2 cups sugar
1/3 cup water
2/3 cup Karo corn syrup
1 1/2 cups peanuts, raw spanish
1 to 2 teaspoon baking soda


Mix sugar, water, corn syrup and peanuts in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat for about 10 minutes or until peanuts begin to pop. Remove from heat and quickly add baking soda. Pour brittle into greased cookie sheet and spread with buttered spoon.
