In a heavy medium saucepan, heat chocolate over low heat until melted. Remove from heat. Stir in sugar and corn syrup; stir in bourbon. Add vanilla wafer crumbs and pecans to chocolate mixture; stir well. Let stand 30 minutes.
Shape mixture into 1-inch balls. Roll powdered sugar and/or cocoa powder to coat. If desired, drizzle with additional melted chocolate.
