In a small mixing bowl, beat butter and peanut butter until smooth. Beat in confectioners’ sugar. Shape into 1-inch balls; press one on each pretzel. Place on wax-paper-lined baking sheets. Refrigerate about 1 hour or until set.
Melt chocolate chips and shortening. Dip pretzels into chocolate. Return to baking sheet, pretzel side down. Chill 30 minutes before serving. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
