Heartland Herb Butter

1/2 cup butter softened
1 tablespoon parsley minced
1 1/2 teaspoons chives minced
1/2 teaspoon basil dried basil leaves, crushed
1/4 teaspoon each dried thyme, marjoram and tarragon leaves crushed
pinch salt


In a small bowl, beat butter, parsley, chives, basil, thyme, marjoram, tarragon and salt until well blended. Cover and chill at least 4 hours to blend flavors.

Serve as an accompaniment for corn-on-the-cob, grilled steak and baked potatoes or as a spread for hot bread or tea sandwiches.
