I have spent the last 2 hours reading your newsletter and wonderful recipes. I have already printed a whole bunch I want to try. I love them because they are using ingredients one has on hand. I love that and just wanted you to know how much we appreciate all your hard work in putting together this newsletter. Thank you very much.

Serves: 6

  Download this recipe.

1 loaf Rhodes Sweet Dough thawed & risen
1 egg
1/4 cup flour
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter, melted & cooled to room temperature
6 ounces chocolate chip cookies, semi-sweet or milk
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
8 ounces non-dairy whipped topping
Fresh fruit as desired

Beat egg until foamy. Blend in flour and sugars. Add butter and mix well. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Roll bread dough into a 13-inch circle to fit into a 12-inch pizza pan. Place dough in a sprayed pizza pan, forming a ridge to hold chocolate chip filling. Spread filling evenly over bread dough. Bake at 350°F for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from pan and set on wire cooling rack. Cool completely. When cool, spread whipped topping over chocolate chip filling. Cut into 8 slices. Layer fresh fruit toppings, arranging in a decorative pattern.
