Give-Aways

I have spent the last 2 hours reading your newsletter and wonderful recipes. I have already printed a whole bunch I want to try. I love them because they are using ingredients one has on hand. I love that and just wanted you to know how much we appreciate all your hard work in putting together this newsletter. Thank you very much.

Easy Cranberry Pie

Serves: 6

  Download this recipe.

2 (16-ounce) cans whole cranberry sauce
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
Double-crust pie shell (9 inches)

In a bowl, combine cranberry sauce, brown sugar and butter. Line pie plate with bottom pastry; add filling. Top with a lattice crust. Bake at 350° for 50-60 minutes or until the crust is lightly browned. Editor's Note: For a festively decorated pie, instead of making a lattice crust, use a cookie cutter to cut out Christmas tree shapes from the top pastry. Place the dough shapes on an ungreased baking sheet and bake at 350° for 10-15 minutes or until golden. Cool slightly; arrange on top of baked pie.
