Vanilla Glaze

   _ cups powdered sugar sifted
   ___ cup half and half or milk
   _ tablespoon butter or margarine, softened
   1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
   Food color (optional)

In a small mixer bowl at low speed, beat powdered sugar, half-and-half, butter and vanilla until smooth and creamy. Tint with 1 to 2 drops food color if desired.

Use on Candy Cane Bread or on cookies of your choice.
