Give-Aways

I have spent the last 2 hours reading your newsletter and wonderful recipes. I have already printed a whole bunch I want to try. I love them because they are using ingredients one has on hand. I love that and just wanted you to know how much we appreciate all your hard work in putting together this newsletter. Thank you very much.

Serves: 10

  Download this recipe.

1 1/2 cups boiling water
2 boxes (small) cherry Jell-O or other red flavor
1 15-ounce can canned sliced peaches, undrained
1 15-ounce can canned/bottled pears sliced, undrained
Frozen or fresh strawberries, sliced
1/2 cup red seedless grapes
1 20-ounce can pineapple chunks, undrained
Bing and pie cherries
1 (6-ounce) jar maraschino cherries, undrained
1 11-ounce can mandarin orange segments, undrained
2 apples, sliced up
2 bananas, sliced up

Add Jell-O to boiling water and mix until completely dissolved. Remove from heat and pour into a large cooking pot or punch bowl. Now add all the fruit and mix it up, and you're ready to serve.

Quantities for the fruit vary depending on the size of crowd you're serving. Grandma Oaks always made this in the biggest cooking pot she had!
