Mock Wild Rice

Serves: 8

   2 tablespoons vegetable oil
   2/3 cup white rice raw
   2/3 cup spaghetti 1/2 -inch pieces thin
   1 tablespoon margarine
   2 3/4 cups beef broth
   1/4 cup onions minced
   1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
   2 tablespoons parsley minced fresh


In a large skillet heat oil; add rice and stir-fry for 3 minutes. Add spaghetti and margarine and stir-fry until browned. Remove from heat; stir in beef broth, onion, and garlic powder; return to heat and bring to boil. Cover and reduce heat; simmer for 15 to 18 minutes or until moisture is absorbed and rice is tender. Sprinkle with parsley just before serving.
