What do I do if I lost my recipes?
In the event of a power outage, hard disk failure, or some other computer-related problem, your Cook'n recipe database files may become corrupt. In other cases, simple recipe entry mistakes may result in the mis-placed recipes.
Whatever the case, please be reassured that we have taken steps to protect your valuable recipe collection. Automatic backup files are made on a regular basis and other measures have been taken to prevent recipe data loss. The thing that makes data recovery most difficult is when customers try to troubleshoot and fix these types of problems on their own. In some cases, customers have uninstalled and reinstalled their software (thereby erasing their recipes), thinking that the recipes they entered were somehow kept on the Cook'n CD-ROM. Consequently, if you are concerned that you may have lost some of the recipes you entered into Cook'n, please do not try to fix it on your own. Instead, please simply send an e-mail to support@dvo.com and patiently wait for a reply. You should receive a reply within 24 hours. If the matter is urgent, please call 801-492-1290.
