Apple-Raisin Crumb Pie

Serves: 8

CRUST
1 refrigerated pie shell (from a 15-ounce package) or Pastry for One-Crust Pie recipe in Desserts, Cakes & Pies

FILLING
6 cups (6 medium) thinly sliced, peeled apples
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon cinnamon

TOPPING
1/3 cup sugar
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
6 tablespoons margarine or butter, softened


1. Prepare pie crust for one-crust filled pie using 9-inch pie pan.

2. Heat oven to 400°F. In large bowl, combine all filling ingredients; toss lightly. Spoon into crust-lined pan.

3. In small bowl, combine 1/3 cup sugar and 3/4 cup flour; mix well. With fork or pastry blender, cut in margarine until crumbly. Sprinkle over apples.

4. Bake at 400°F. for 35 to 45 minutes or until apples are tender and crust is golden brown.
