Give-Aways

I have spent the last 2 hours reading your newsletter and wonderful recipes. I have already printed a whole bunch I want to try. I love them because they are using ingredients one has on hand. I love that and just wanted you to know how much we appreciate all your hard work in putting together this newsletter. Thank you very much.

SMART Ideas!
Let Frozen Bread Dough Come to Your Baking Aid

by Alice Osborne

Frozen bread dough gives the flavor and aroma of homemade without the measuring, mixing, kneading, and clean-up required with “scratch” baking—perhaps just the edge you need to stay on top of things this holiday season.

Buttery Breadsticks

24 frozen dinner rolls, thawed but still cold
½ C butter, melted
½ C Parmesan cheese
McCormick/Schilling Salad Supreme Seasoning
or garlic salt

Pour melted butter onto an 11x17-inch baking sheet. Roll each roll to about 6-inches; slather in butter until completely coated. Place cheese in separate bowl and roll buttered breadstick in cheese. Place breadsticks on baking sheet; sprinkle with seasoning. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise until doubled in size. Remove wrap; bake at 350º got 20 min. or until golden brown. Yummy, easy, and fast.

Butterscotch Bubble Bundt

24 frozen dinner rolls, thawed but still cold
½ small box non-instant butterscotch pudding mix
½ C chopped pecans
½ C butter, melted
½ C brown sugar

Spray bundt pan with non-stick spray. Cut rolls in half and roll in dry pudding mix. Arrange in pan alternately with pecans. Sprinkle remaining pudding mix over the top. Combine brown sugar and butter; heat together until sugar is melted and a syrup is formed. Stir well. Pour syrup over rolls. Cover with sprayed plastic wrap.

Let rise until double in size or even with top of bundt pan. Remove wrap and bake at 350º for 30-35 min. Cover with foil the last 15 min. of baking. Do not underbake. Invert onto a serving platter immediately after removing from oven. Really, besides being super easy to make, this is so good (and pretty)!
