Kicker Refreshments

The recipes listed below are from “Entertaining with Kellogg’s”
complimentary with a box of Kellogg’s Corn Flakes.


As we gather around to watch the playoffs, these treats are sure to conqueror everyone’s sweet tooth. Whether the team you are cheering for wins or loses, your treats will be the hit of the party!

Fruit Pizza

4 cups Kellogg’s corn flakes crushed to make one cup of Kellogg’s corn flakes crumbs
2 Tablespoons sugar
2 Tablespoons margarine or butter (softened)
2 Tablespoons light corn syrup
2 Packages 8oz. each light cream cheese (softened)
1 jar (7 oz.) marshmallow creme
2-3 cups sliced fresh fruit or canned, well drained

Step one: In a medium mixing bowl, combine Kellogg’s corn flakes cereal, sugar, margarine and corn syrup. Press mixture evenly and firmly in the bottom of a 12 inch pizza pan.

Step two: Bake at 350 degrees for about 5 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool completely

Step three: Combine cream cheese and marshmallow crème. Spread over crust.

Step four: Arrange fruit over cream cheese mixture. Chill about 1 hour or until firm. Serve cold.

Kellogg’s Rice Krispie Treats
Chocolate Nutty Mini Footballs

3 Tablespoons butter or margarine
1 package (10 oz. about 40 regular marshmallows of
4 cups of miniature marshmallows
½ cup of peanut butter
6 cups Cocoa Rice Krispies cereal
White canned frosting or decorating gel

Step one: In a large saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat. Stir in peanut butter until melted

Step two: Add Kellogg’s Cocoa Rice Krispie cereal. Stir until well coated.

Step three: Cool slightly. Using buttered hands, shape mixture into sixteen 3 inch footballs. Decorate to look like football by piping with frosting or gel. Best if served the same day.

Note: For best results, use fresh marshmallows. One jar [7 oz] marshmallow creme can be substituted for marshmallows. Diet, reduced calorie or tub margarine is not recommended.

Crispix Mix
Sweet Minglers

1 package (6 oz., 1 cup) semi sweet chocolate morsels
¼ cup of peanut butter
½ cup peanuts
6 cups Crispix Cereal
1 cup powdered sugar

Step one: In large microwave save bowl, melt chocolate at high 1 minute. Stir and heat 30 seconds longer at high or until melted when stirred. Stir in Peanut butter and peanuts. Gently stir in Kellogg’s Crispix Cereal until evenly coated.

Step two: Place powdered sugar in a 2 gallon zipper type plastic bag. Add coated cereal to sugar and close bag. Gently toss cereal mixture until evenly coated. Store in airtight container in refrigerator.

Note: Microwave cooking times may vary.
