Tin Can Baking

Hello,

I want to bake date nut bread in tin cans. Do you know where to get them? I heard only to use gold lined ones.

Regards,

Carolann Krause

Hi Carolann,

I've baked bread in aluminum cans before with great results. I simply clean out the cans from vegetables or fruit, grease them well, and pour the bread batter in to about 2/3 full. I've also used cans to steam bread, after covering with foil and rubber bands. I think as long as your cans are "food-grade," it doesn't matter what the inside is lined with.

Hope this helps,

Desi
