Ice Cream Cone Tree Treats

By Bethany Booth

This easy and inexpensive tree treat leaves plenty of room for creativity and is fun for family night or as make-and-take party favors for the kids’ Christmas party. It will also add spectacular landscaping to your gingerbread house.

Materials:
Frosting
Shredded wheat cereal
Green food coloring
Variety of small colorful candies
Paper plates
Butter knife
Waffle cone

Instructions:
Place cereal in a plastic bag and let kids help crush it by hand.
Combine frosting, cereal, and green food coloring until desired color and consistency.
Use a little frosting around the rim of cone to stick cone to the paper plate.
Use butter knife to cover cone completely with green frosting.
Decorate with small candies. Display or eat.

Hint for Parents: What a great way to keep the kids busy while Santa does a little last-minute wrapping!

Merry Christmas!
