Turtle Cake Question

Hi,

I just have one quick question. I watched your video of you making Turtle Cake. As I was watching I was following along with the directions written down with the recipe. In the directions the first layer of cake that you bake the video says you baked it for about 10 minutes, but in the directions for the cake it says 20 to 25 minutes for both times that you bake the cake. Just wanted to clarify about the first bake time.

Kathy says that our oven is a convection oven which cooks faster. When we did the video that is the oven we were using so that’s why she said 10 minutes…but she just said that 20 minutes would probably be too long even in a regular oven. So, there you have it. Does this help at all?
