Give-Aways

I have spent the last 2 hours reading your newsletter and wonderful recipes. I have already printed a whole bunch I want to try. I love them because they are using ingredients one has on hand. I love that and just wanted you to know how much we appreciate all your hard work in putting together this newsletter. Thank you very much.

6 Rhodes Texas Rolls, thawed but still cold
Peach jam or preserves
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tablespoon butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 or 3 tablespoons milk

Flatten each roll into a 3-inch circle. Place circles on a large sprayed baking sheet. Cover with sprayed plastic wrap and let rise until double. Remove wrap. With fingertips press indentation in the center of each roll. Spoon in about 1 tablespoon of jam. Bake immediately at 350°F for 15-20 minutes (during baking cycle add more jam if desired). Remove from pan to cooling rack. Combine powdered sugar, butter, vanilla and milk. Mix well. Brush each roll lightly with icing while still warm. After they have cooled, drizzle with remaining icing.
