Pecan Pie

Pastry for One-Crust Pie, Buttermilk Pastry or Pat-in-the-Pan Oil Pastry
2/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup butter or stick margarine, melted
1 cup corn syrup
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 large eggs
1 cup pecans halves or broken pecans


1. Heat oven to 375°. Make pastry for unbaked One-Crust Pie.

2. Beat sugar, butter, corn syrup, salt and eggs in medium bowl with wire whisk or hand beater until well blended. Stir in pecans. Pour into pastry-lined pie plate.

3. Bake 40 to 50 minutes or until center is set.
