Give-Aways

I have spent the last 2 hours reading your newsletter and wonderful recipes. I have already printed a whole bunch I want to try. I love them because they are using ingredients one has on hand. I love that and just wanted you to know how much we appreciate all your hard work in putting together this newsletter. Thank you very much.

Small, Medium, or Large?

When it is said Small, Medium, or Large as in potatoes, how do you determine the weight or size of such?

Hi Richard,

I grew up among the potato fields of Idaho, so my judgment of potatoes may be a little off, as I've gleaned some HUGE bakers, that I'd term "Large."

When I buy the bagged potatoes from the store, I'd say they are "puny!" However, they are probably actually "medium-sized."

For a more factual serving size, a medium potato is about 5 oz after cooking. If you recall the size of the "old-fashioned" computer mouse (old-fashioned meaning outdated by 3 years?? :-) ), that is the size of a medium potato. With that visual in mind, you can now judge smaller and larger bakers easily.

Hope this helps,
