Getting our Easter eggs just after church

We usually got a new dress, gloves and hat. This was special! We had the eggs and stuff but it is the celebration of Christ 's rising from the dead and the hope this gives the Christian church that means the most to me.

EGG HUNTING IS MANDATORY FOR OUR EASTER CELEBRATION-- EVEN ON EASTERS THAT INCLUDE AN IDAHO SNOWFALL!!

I remember being so excited about going to church on Easter Sunday because I got a brand new outfit with a hat! I still love hats, but living in L.A., it's rarely cold enough to warrant one; and living by the ocean, the breeze usually blows them off!

And don't forget the delicious Cadbury Chocolate mini eggs! They are my favorite! Have a blessed Easter everyone!

Loved sewing new dresses for my two sweet little girls

Sunrise service with the sun slowly lighting up, through the stainglass, the cross filled with lilies. Just beautififul.

On Easter my family would all get dress up in our new easter clothes and off to church we go. The egg hunts in town was always looked forward to by us kids. Mom would hide our baskets and all get up in the morning and hunt them down before going to church. At Easter colored chicks and ducklings were sold at the feed stores. On year I remember us girls got a chick and raise them to be fat hens. Which my Mom traded to a local farmer for 2 not so fat hens to go into the cooking pot. We could bring ourselves to eat ou pet hens. So the hens got to live laying eggs for the farmer and we got chicken for dinner.

We go to church on Saturday, to me it represents Christ resting in the grave.

Now it's the Easter Noon Ham & scalloped potato meal with the family.

For Easter we always got a new pair of panties lining the basket and sometimes socks with little ruffles.

Religous Resons are becoming lost in a society that is majorty beleivers of God. How can that be?
