Cooking Temperatures

I am using a glass top stove that has the elements that shut down when they hit a certain temp.

I am attempting turkey soup can you please tell me what setting my element should be on:

Low, Med, Med-High, or High?

Thanks

Hi,

Usually for most soups (excepting cream-based soups which would scald), you would heat the broth to the boiling point on High; then you'd turn the heat to low, cover the pot, and let it simmer until vegetables or meat is done.

Hope this helps,
