Looking for Rum Cake

A few years ago my husband was working at a grocery store in Ft. Collins, CO and when Christmas time came around one of his loyal customers brought him a homemade rum cake.  It was sooo good!  My husband was to get the recipe but of course he never did.  All I know about it was that rum or some type of rum sauce was poured over the cake after it had cooked.  It was very heavy and moist.  If you would have a recipe for this type of cake I would sure like it.
