Whole Wheat Bars

1 cup butter
1 cup coconut palm sugar
1 cup pure maple sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
2 1/4 cups whole wheat flour
2 1/2 cups oats
1 (10-ounce) bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup nuts optional

Combine all the ingredients and spread the mix out in a greased 11x13 pan. Bake at 325 for 20 minutes.
