I have spent the last 2 hours reading your newsletter and wonderful recipes. I have already printed a whole bunch I want to try. I love them because they are using ingredients one has on hand. I love that and just wanted you to know how much we appreciate all your hard work in putting together this newsletter. Thank you very much.
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1 cup seasoned stuffing mix finely crushed
2 eggs beaten
1 8-ounce can tomato sauce
1/2 cup onions chopped
2 tablespoons green bell peppers chopped (optional)
2 teaspoons mustard prepared
1 teaspoon salt
Dash of crushed dried thyme leaves
Dash of crushed dried marjoram leaves
1/4 cup chili sauce
Mix first ten ingredients thoroughy. Spread in an ungreased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan. Bake at 350° for 1 1/4 hours. During last 15 minutes of baking, spread top of meat loaf with chili sauce. After removing from pan, let stand 5 minutes before slicing.
