Give-Aways

I have spent the last 2 hours reading your newsletter and wonderful recipes. I have already printed a whole bunch I want to try. I love them because they are using ingredients one has on hand. I love that and just wanted you to know how much we appreciate all your hard work in putting together this newsletter. Thank you very much.

Homemade Croutons

Serves: 12

  Download this recipe.

Make your own croutons in one of two ways:
- Spread one side of dry (not hard) bread with softened butter or margarine, and cut into 1/2-inch cubes.
- Cut dry (not hard) bread into 1/2-inch cubes, and toss with olive oil to lightly coat.

Then sprinkle either type of bread cubes with grated Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning or your favorite herbs and seasonings. Cook in an ungreased heavy skillet over medium heat 4 to 7 minutes, stirring frequently, until golden brown.
