Give-Aways

I have been wanting to join for months now. This is the birthday gift I requested from my husband. I can't wait to select my software title that comes with joining and am hoping to get more organizing tips from the weekly letters.

A Pinch of Steak?
Notes from Folks...

In the Best Recipes cookbook, there is a recipe for Peppered Steak. When I select List, to print a shopping list, the Best Buy lists Tenderloin Steak, 1 pinch. Is a pinch an error or is it a cooking term I am unaware of?

Dave Gifford

Hi Dave,

I'm sure this is just an error caused by the typist hitting the "enter" button when using the automatic fill-in typing. He/she typed "p", the computer filled in "inch", and he/she hit "enter." The recipe should list "pound" instead of "pinch."

To correct this error, go to List again, after selecting that recipe. When the ingredients/amounts come up, click on the "pinch" word under "amounts." The information for the steak should come up. Retype or select "pounds" from the list. Click "okay" and close out from that ingredient screen. Your software should now update the amount. Make sure you save the recipe if prompted to do so.

Hope this helps,
