Give-Aways

I have spent the last 2 hours reading your newsletter and wonderful recipes. I have already printed a whole bunch I want to try. I love them because they are using ingredients one has on hand. I love that and just wanted you to know how much we appreciate all your hard work in putting together this newsletter. Thank you very much.

1 1/2 cups bread crumbs soft
1 cup tomatoes chopped peeled
1/2 cup celery finely chopped
2 eggs lightly beaten
2 teaspoons horseradish prepared
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon salt
Black pepper Freshly ground
1/2 cup ketchup
1 tablespoon light corn syrup
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Preheat oven to 350° F. In a large bowl combine beef, sausage, bread crumbs, tomatoes, celery, eggs, horseradish, mustard, salt and pepper to taste; mix well. Place in an ungreased 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2 -inch loaf pan. Bake for 45 minutes. Remove from oven; drain off fat.

In a small bowl mix catsup, corn syrup and Worcestershire sauce. Brush over meat loaf. Bake 30 minutes longer.

**A personal note - We don't care for the horseradish, I use a coarse grainy mustard in place of the horseradish and dry mustard for the same effect.
