Give-Aways

I have spent the last 2 hours reading your newsletter and wonderful recipes. I have already printed a whole bunch I want to try. I love them because they are using ingredients one has on hand. I love that and just wanted you to know how much we appreciate all your hard work in putting together this newsletter. Thank you very much.

Cooking Bacon
Notes from Folks...

Your suggestion of cooking the bacon in the oven is great except, it leaves one humongous greasy mess to clean up! And I hate cleaning the oven! Also it is laying in the grease as it cooks.

I found a better way to cook bacon without being burned with splatters. And I can save the grease, strain it thru cheesecloth and store it in the fridge or freezer for seasoning foods (beans and greens especially), or for making my own soaps. I use my George Foreman Grill. I cut the bacon in half and place across the grill. Close the lid and it cooks it quickly, evenly and the grease drains off as it cooks.
