I have spent the last 2 hours reading your newsletter and wonderful recipes. I have already printed a whole bunch I want to try. I love them because they are using ingredients one has on hand. Sage Roasted Turkey

Serves: 12


           Download this recipe.

   12-14 pounds turkeys
   1 1/4 teaspoons salt
   3/4 teaspoon cracked pepper
   3 tablespoons melted butter
   1 tablespoon dried rubbed sage
   1 clove garlic, minced
   1 teaspoon paprika, preferrably smoked


1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
2. Rub inside of turkey with salt and pepper
3. Truss turkey if desired and place on rack in roasting pan
4. Combine butter, sage and garlic
5. Brush turkey with butter mixture & sprinkle with remaining salt, pepper & Paprika
6. Roast until meat thermometer inserted into thickest part of the thigh, away from the bone, registers 180 degrees. (around 2 ˝ hours)
7. Let stand 15 minutes before serving
