I have spent the last 2 hours reading your newsletter and wonderful recipes. I have already printed a whole bunch I want to try. I love them because they are using ingredients one has on hand. I love that and just wanted you to know how much we appreciate all your hard work in putting together this newsletter. Thank you very much.

Tortilla Soup

Ingredients - Serves 4-8:

  • 1 Yellow Onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 tsp Granulated Garlic
  • 1/2 cup Tomato Puree
  • 1/2 cup Pace Picante Sauce
  • 1 tsp (to taste) sliced jalapeño peppers (finely chopped)
  • 1 tbsp Margarine
  • 1 cup Water
  • 2 cans of Beef Broth
  • 2 tbsp Arriba Chili Sauce

Sautée onions and half the garlic with margarine and the jalapeños. Combine beef base, chili sauce, picante, and all other ingredients. Simmer for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Let cool and serve.
