The energy level and enthusiasm of the delegates at the Conventions that I attended this week was exhilarating!
I am so encouraged by the response that my ideas are generating. People keep coming up to me and e-mailing me to tell me how excited they are to hear someone with fresh, common sense, free-market solutions to the problems we face in government today. Thank you for your support!
I suppose the reason I'm so surprised is because the ideas I'm sharing are based on simple principles that I have learned in the private sector while running a successful business for the last 18 years. They're ideas that you and I live by on a daily basis; Ideas that politicians seem forget after 20 years in politics.
Arlan Brunson asked if he could interview me and ask questions about the Oath of Office. He also wanted to learn more about me and my plans for Utah. This was my first political interview ever! To say that I was a little nervous would be an understatement. But, I think it went well. In fact, by the end, he said "You know...I believe you can actually do all of the things you say you will. You've got my vote!" He even suggested that I write a book!
