1 chocolate cake mix
1 16-ounce container prepared chocolate frosting
1 3-ounce bar chocolate flavored confectioners coating
Prepare cake mix according to package directions using any of the recommended pan sizes. Cool cake completely.
In a large bowl, crumble cake and stir in frosting until well blended.
Use a melon baller or small scoop to form balls of cake mixture and place on wax paper covered tray. Freeze balls for one hour.
In a medium glass bowl, melt chocolate coating in the microwave, stirring until smooth.
Use a toothpick to dip frozen balls into chocolate coating. Return to wax paper to set.
Any cake or frosting flavor can be substituted.
