"My mother came from a family of great country cooks and was known for her Southern hospitality," recalls Fae Fisher of Callao, Virginia. "Family and friends were invited for meals throughout the whole year.
"One of my most cherished memories is gathering around the dining room table and my father saying grace to thank God for all of our many blessings--including this special holiday meal," adds Fae. "Mother last prepared this meal in 1940, and it included all our family favorites."
