Pumpkin Pie

3/4 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 1/4 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
1 1/2 cups canned pumpkins
1 1/3 cups evaporated milk
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 (8-inch) unbaked pastry shell

Nut Topping:
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1 1/2 teaspoons orange zest
1 tablespoon butter
2 tablespoons brown sugar


Preheat oven to 375°. Combine brown sugar, flour, salt, and spice. Stir in pumpkin, milk, and egg; mix till smooth. Pour into unbaked pastry shell.

Bake about 25 minutes. Remove from oven, and spread Nut Topping around edge. Bake 15 minutes more. Serve warm or cold.

For Nut Topping:
Combine all ingredients. Use as directed.
