Refer to the Picture to see a photo of most of the items to include in your backpack. See the Main Instructions recipe for a photo of a larger style backpack that would be appropriate for adults. Also see the recipe for Emergency Kits for Your Baby in this chapter for a specific list for infants.


BACKPACKS: Backpacks will need to be acquired for each individual in the family. Small school types will be good for small children but after age 6, larger backpacks should be used to account for all supplies needed. These backpacks should be right next to or under the individual's bed or close to the front door for quick escape in case of an emergency. Store the items in Zip-locĀ® bags to prevent items from leaking.
