Sauté mushrooms and onion in butter until golden whisk in flour, mixing well. Slowly add beef broth stir constantly until thickened. Reduce heat add half-and-half. Stir in remaining ingredients heat over low heat for 10 minutes. Do not allow soup to boil remove bay leaf and serve.
