This sauce is surprisingly good on salmon, too.
1\4 cup steak sauce
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon orange zest
1\2 teaspoon ground ginger
1 (20-ounce) slice boneless beef sirloin steaks, about 3\4 inch thick, trimmed of fat (20 oz. after trimming)
1. Heat broiler.
2. In a small bowl, combine steak sauce, sugar, orange zest, and ginger. Place beef in a shallow baking dish and spoon all but 2 Tbsp steak sauce mixture over steak. Turn several times to coat thoroughly. Let stand at room temperature 20 minutes.
3. Coat a broiler rack and pan with cooking spray and place beef on broiler rack, discarding marinade. Broil no closer than 2-3 inches away from heat source for 5 minutes, then turn and broil 4-5 more minutes or until desired doneness.
4. Place on cutting board and let rest 5 minutes before slicing in thin diagonals. Spoon reserved sauce over slices and serve.
