1. Heat broiler.
2. Arrange tomatoes on a nonstick baking sheet, cut side up. Drizzle dressing evenly over tomatoes, about 3/4 tsp per tomato half, then sprinkle with basil.
3. Broil 2-3 inches away from heat source for 1 minute. Remove tomatoes from broiler and top with salt, pepper, and cheese.
4. Return to broiler, turn off heat, and let stand in oven 3 minutes or until cheese just begins to turn light golden.
