When cooking the rice, make enough to use in the Hopping John, and also have an additional 4 cups. You will use the extra rice to serve with the Jambalaya for Meal 3. Use 3 3/4 cups of uncooked rice, 7 1/2 cups of water, 3 3/4 teaspoons of salt, and 1 1/2 tablespoons of butter.

Use 4 of the French Bread Rolls to use for Meal 4, to serve the Sloppy Joes on and on Meal 5, Herbed Garlic Bread spread.

Use the already-cooked rice from Meal 1. Adding 2 tablespoons of water, heat the rice on low in a covered saucepan on the stovetop, a few minutes before serving.

Serve the Sloppy Joes on the French Bread Rolls made for Meal 2.

When preparing the Black Been n’ Pumpkin Chili, use the prepared cubed pumpkin from Meal 2.

For the French bread, use the French Bread Rolls that you made for Meal 2 when making the Herbed Garlic Bread.
