Our current favorite chocolate chip cookie and we've tried a lot! We think it has just enough softness and just enough crispness to make it perfect! These freeze well so you always have something on hand when family visits!
| 1 cup | butter |
| 1 cup | butter |
| l cup | light brown sugar firmly packed |
| 1/2 cup | granulated sugar |
| 1 1/2 teaspoons | vanilla extract |
| 2 | large eggs |
| 2 cups | flour |
| 3/4 teaspoon | baking soda |
| 1/4 teaspoon | salt |
| 3 cups | semisweet chocolate chips |
Using your electric mixer, cream together the butter and the sugars. Add vanilla and eggs and continue beatiing until well combined. Add flour, soda, and salt and mix until well blended. Stir in chocolate chips.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheets at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes for small cookies of approximately 2 1/2 - 3 inches. Makes 6 dozen small cookies.
