Pesach Chocolate Chip Cookies

These are greatly beloved for Pesach. Helene Tapper's children adore them & almost inhale them during Pesach.

Yield: 55 cookies

Ingredients:

Directions:


Make the basic dough & then add one of the additions below:

Basic dough:

1 cup (2 sticks) margarine or butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
½ cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla (or ½ tsp almond extract)
1 tsp baking soda
2 cups cake meal -use about 1 tablespoon less than 2 cups

Then add in one of the following:

1) 1 package (12 oz) chocolate chips
or
2) 1 package (12 oz) Nestles chocolate / peanut butter swirled chips
or
3) 1 tsp cinnamon
1 package (12 oz) chocolate chips
1 package Hershey's cinnamon chips


Spoon onto cookie sheets. They do not spread very much, so you can put them closer together than you might think. Bake at 350 F for 8-10 minutes, until very lightly brown.

Makes 55 large scoop cookies.
